How it works

Report it, we file it, everyone can see it.

  1. Report a problem with a photo. The photo fills in the description and the category.
  2. We file it on the City’s Citizen Request Tracker and it gets a City request number.
  3. Every report gets a public page you can share, listed under Reports. The City receives that link with the report.
  4. Records request writes a New York Freedom of Information Law letter with the statutory deadlines, for you to send.
  5. Ask the City answers questions using only pages from www.cortlandny.gov, and cites them.
